VICTORIAN SEMI-DETACHED HOUSE – RECONFIGURATION OF THE GROUND FLOOR

Tired of the dark multi-room layout of their ground floor, these clients wanted a light, open space where they could entertain, but they still wished to retain their existing period-style conservatory and a number of original features. Their favoured style was a light Provencal feel - "nothing too contemporary."

We designed a space which featured wide, white oak flooring with under-floor heating, custom-made TV cabinets and kitchen units.

Chrysoula came in with fresh eyes and original ideas. She assessed our current needs [kids older etc] and suggested re-jigging the ground floor completely, taking walls out, relocating the loo and, against my better judgement, replacing the mishmash of flooring with wide-planked white washed oak throughout.

The effect is stunning, but it was actually in the smaller details where her advice was invaluable. She project managed the whole job, start to finish, redesigning the kitchen, sourcing kitchen units, appliances, sanitary ware etc and even took care of everything while we went abroad on holiday.

Chrysoula is highly gifted in her field, very easy to work with (nothing is too much trouble); an invaluable asset to any renovation project. We are delighted with the finished product and could not have done it without her.
