GEORGIAN GRADE II COMPLETE REDESIGN

This grand Regency building had been Richmond’s registry office for five decades until it was purchased by Richmond Green Developments and we were tasked with redesigning its interiors for a seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom family home.

Due to its Grade II listing, there were a lot of restrictions to how much we could reconfigure the interior. With this in mind, the style of the interior was kept understated and quite traditional. Painted timber paneling was introduced to the drawing room and entrance hallway walls, while Herringbone-pattern, stained oak flooring was used for the hallway and drawing room. The walk-in master dressing room, all the wardrobe and bathroom cabinet interiors were made with the same stain oak veneer. We used bronze antiqued mirror tiles on a feature wall in the kitchen entrance to reflect and amplify light. All the radiators and brass wear is antique bronze. Alongside these traditional details, we added contemporary features, such as wet rooms in all of the bathrooms and a sophisticated home automation system. We also expanded the basement to accommodate a cinema, gym, home office, granny flat and wine cellar.
